USAID’s Restoring Efficiency to Agricultural Production (REAP) activity is a market driven and result oriented enterprise development project that will increase incomes and employment in rural areas by facilitating firm-level investment and providing tailor made technical assistance to agribusiness enterprises that provide inputs, services, training and cash markets to smallholder farmers. REAP catalyzes increased private investment and commercial finance to the sector, mitigates risk for rural small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs by delivering technical assistance, and expands commercially sustainable linkages between service providers, producers, post-harvest enterprises and smallholder farmers. To ensure the long-term sustainability and success of these investments, REAP delivers tailored technical assistance, group trainings on best agricultural practices and facilitates commercial linkages between farmers and agro enterprises
